Domain mapping is the fastest way to onboard your entire student body. Map your school's email domain and any student who registers with that email is automatically added to your institution.
How to set it up
- 1
Open Settings → Domains
From your school admin dashboard.
- 2
Add your email domain
Enter your school's domain (e.g., @lincolnhigh.edu). Add one per line if you have multiple domains.
- 3
Verify ownership
Yura will ask you to add a DNS TXT record or respond to a verification email sent to a generic address like admin@yourschool.edu.
- 4
Choose default role
Decide whether new accounts join as Student or Staff by default. You can change individual roles later.
Never map public domains like gmail.com or yahoo.com — that would auto-enroll anyone who signs up with those addresses.
Once domain mapping is live, email students with a simple instruction: 'Go to Yura, sign up with your school email, and you're in.' No codes, no invites — just their email.
Map multiple domains to the same institution if your district uses different email domains per campus (e.g., @north.district.edu and @south.district.edu).
