Account deactivation and deletion are handled by the Yura team to ensure your data is processed securely and nothing is lost accidentally.
How to request deactivation or deletion

Email us
Send an email to support@volunteeritude.com with the subject line 'Account Deactivation' or 'Account Deletion'.

So we can locate your account quickly.

Tell us why (optional)
A short reason helps us improve. If something went wrong, we'd love the chance to fix it.

Our team will respond as soon as possible — usually within one business day — and walk you through next steps.
Deactivation vs. deletion
- Deactivate (reversible) — hides your profile and signs you out. Your data is preserved and you can reactivate within 30 days by emailing us again.
- Delete (permanent) — your personal data is removed within 30 days of confirmation. Verified hours you contributed to organizations remain in their records, but anonymized.
Once the 30-day grace period ends, your data is permanently gone. Export your service record first if you want a copy for applications or personal records.
Download your full service record from Profile → Reports → Export before requesting deactivation or deletion. You won't be able to access it afterward.
If you're the sole Owner of an organization, you must transfer ownership to another team member before you can delete your account. The org can't exist without an Owner.
